Amazing Scavenger Hunt-Memphis
If you’re looking for fun with a different spin, Amazing Scavenger Hunt-Memphis is just the thing. This three-hour game guides you through your smart phone as it sends you on a quest throughout Memphis to solve clues and complete tasks – all while learning history about places you may have taken for granted or not even known about. The Broadway hit Something Rotten! will leave you laughing as you step back to the days of Shakespeare. This story set in the 1590s follows brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom as they desperately work to write their own hit stage production while the Bard always seems to steal the show. Their fortune changes when a soothsayer predicts the future of theater showcases the trifecta of singing, dancing, and acting all at once. This spurs the Bottom brothers to compose the world’s first musical.
Performances of Something Rotten! are slated for 7:30 p.m. daily April 10-12; 8 p.m. April 13; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. April 14; and 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. April 15 at Orpheum Theater in The Core/Civic Center. Tickets are $25-$125.
Memphis Fashion Week
Check out the latest styles at Memphis Fashion Week, set for April 11-14. The event will showcase emerging talent in a variety of categories on April 14, including teen, singles, and mini collections. This year’s featured designers hitting the spotlight on April 13 include Rachel Roy, Ituen Basi, Sloane Lenz, Tiena, Mary Ambrosie, Demi Blvk Designs, and Daniel Magana. More than 30 models will bring their creations down the runway. The week’s events also include Fashion Night Out, Trunk Show, Influencer Luncheon, and Headliner Luncheon.
Bayou Overton Square Memphis Crawfish Festival
If you’re looking for free fun in the great outdoors with a seafood twist, you’re in luck? The 19th annual Bayou Overton Square Memphis Crawfish Festival is set for April 14, noon-6 p.m. Located at the corner of Madison and Cooper to Madison and Morrison (Overton Square and the surrounding streets), the event is free to attend with food and drinks for sale. The family-friendly event also includes shopping and live music.
9th Annual Memphis Brewfest
The Memphis-style celebration of beer is coming up! The 9th Annual Memphis Brewfest is the celebration of both American craft beers and International brews. With a variety of styles, tastes, and colors, there’s something for everyone at this rain or shine event.
The 9th Annual Memphis Brewfest is for ages 21 and up. The event is set for 4 p.m.-7:45 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Liberty Bowl Stadium. Regular general admission is $48. VIP admission is $100. Admission for designated drivers is $25. Click here for tickets.
